The Individual Learning Teacher is a critical role in supporting students with diverse learning profiles, including those who are twice/thrice exceptional. The successful candidate will design and implement personal and inclusive opportunities that promote academic excellence, personal growth, and student engagement.

About the Role

\

This is a non-class-based position focused on enhancing student outcomes through specialized personal planning, enrichment opportunities, small group teaching, collaboration, and teacher support. The Individual Learning Teacher will work closely with the Head of Primary and other professionals to create positive, differentiated, and enriching educational experiences for students.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement personalized plans for students with diverse learning needs\
  • Develop and deliver enrichment opportunities to enhance student outcomes\
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and other professionals to create inclusive learning environments\
  • Provide guidance and support to colleagues on strategies for differentiating instruction\
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in education\

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • \
  • Extensive experience in developing and implementing evidence-based teaching programs and resources\
  • Specific qualifications and/or experience in supporting students who are twice/thrice exceptional or highly capable\
  • Knowledge of positive teaching practices to support student engagement\
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills\
  • Demonstrated organizational and administrative skills\
  • Knowledge of the Australian Curriculum; Disability Discrimination Act (1992); Disability Standards for Education (2005) and the AITSL standards for professional teachers\
  • Knowledge of the IB PYP or an inquiry approach to learning\
