Legal Specialist

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced legal specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-level legal advice on complex issues, conducting research, and assisting with investigations and court proceedings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and legal policy advice on matters relating to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010.
  • Conduct thorough research into complex legal matters, including mergers and exemptions law.
  • Assist with the conduct of investigations and court proceedings, including working closely with external lawyers.


Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Admission as a practitioner of the High Court or the Supreme Court of an Australian State or Territory.
  • Experience in working effectively as a lawyer advising line areas under tight timeframes.
  • Strong knowledge of competition and consumer law, particularly in relation to merger clearances and exemptions.
