Family Support Specialist

Mercy Community Family and Child Connect (FaCC) program has an exciting opportunity for a passionate Family Support Specialist to join their team in Caboolture.
This permanent full-time role offers a competitive salary of $85,126 - $91,588 annually (SCHADS L4), plus superannuation and generous salary packaging options. The position is ideal for a motivated individual who wants to make a difference in the lives of families in the Moreton Bay region.
Key Responsibilities- Assess information provided in referrals, engage with families with complex needs, and provide essential connections to support services.
- Provide vital connections to supports for those families within the Moreton Bay region as part of the Family and Child Connect team.
- Build strong relationships with families and various service providers to facilitate effective communication and coordination.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A genuine occupational requirement that the person holding the position be an Aboriginal person and/or Torres Strait Islander person.
- Either tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Behavioural Sciences, Psychology, or a relevant discipline; or extensive demonstrated experience in a family support service position.
- Proven ability to work effectively across different service providers, both government and non-government, to negotiate high-quality service provision.
- A current Queensland Provisional Green or above Driver Licence.
- A positive notice in the Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and the ability to obtain any other legislatively required personal history screening.
