Retail Store Operations Manager Job Description

As a retail store operations manager, you will play a crucial role in driving sales and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing teams, achieving sales targets, and delivering results-driven solutions. You will be responsible for leading a team of retail staff to achieve outstanding customer satisfaction, drive sales growth, and maintain a high level of service excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine product offerings, stock levels, and service standards to drive sales growth
  • Manage the efficient supply of products and packaging while negotiating prices with suppliers
  • Formulate and implement purchasing and marketing policies, setting prices that maximize revenue
  • Promote and advertise seasonal events and products
  • Sell goods and services to customers across our retail stores
  • Maintain records of stock levels and financial transactions
  • Undertake budgeting for our retail stores, ensuring sales targets are met
  • Control staff selection, training, and supervision, including rostering for our retail stores
  • Ensure compliance with OHS and safety regulations in our retail stores
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven management experience in a similar role
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Able to achieve exceptional sales results
  • Strong work ethic and passion for training, developing, and motivating team members
  • High attention to detail
  • Problem and conflict resolution skills
  • Reliable and 'can-do' attitude
  • Availability to work full-time weekdays and weekends, including opens and closes
  • Formal qualification related to this position and at least two years of management experience
