Industrial Equipment Technician Job

About the Role

This customer-facing role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining industrial coding and marking equipment. You will be responsible for troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and software systems, delivering onsite support and training, and ensuring the smooth operation of Australia's essential manufacturing sectors.

This role includes travel and participation in a rotating on-call/weekend roster. Opportunities exist for career progression into senior technical or leadership roles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and commission equipment such as CIJ, TIJ, TTO, Laser, LPA, LCM printers
  • Perform troubleshooting and preventative maintenance
  • Support customers with technical training and ongoing service
  • Collaborate with internal sales and account teams
  • Maintain accurate service records and asset databases
  • Identify growth opportunities within assigned service zones
Requirements:
  • 5+ years' experience in field service, maintenance, or automation
  • Trade or tertiary qualification in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics
  • Strong problem-solving skills across mechanical, electrical, and software systems
  • Exposure to industrial printers or packaging line systems (advantageous)
  • Valid Australian Driver's Licence and willingness to travel
  • A customer-first mindset with excellent communication skills
