Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annumJob DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our highly regarded Retirement Distribution team in NSW. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and enhancing client outcomes through the development and maintenance of strong relationships with financial advisers.
The successful candidate will have 5-7 years' experience in a primary sales role within financial services, with a proven track record of exceeding objectives and contributing to national initiatives.
You will be adept at managing relationships, providing exceptional service, and navigating the complexities of financial products. A strong grasp of financial markets, social security, tax, superannuation rules, and a solid understanding of target market licensees and advisers is essential.
You will leverage your deep understanding of financial markets, retirement income, fixed income, and portfolio construction to drive business growth and enhance client outcomes. Supported by a Business Development Associate, you will be at the forefront of our mission to partner with advisers, practices, and licensees across the state, ensuring we deliver the highest quality service and results.
Key Responsibilities:- Drive growth by engaging a panel of IFA financial advisers, providing insights on portfolio construction and Challenger's products.
- Develop, maintain, and grow both new and existing relationships with financial intermediaries to drive sales growth and manage retention.
- Spend time meeting advisers, hosting workshops, webinars, and delivering presentations to build strong relationships and showcase Challenger's products.
- Achieve and exceed financial targets, operational measures, and growth milestones.
- Actively share market intelligence, adviser needs, and insights to help mitigate risks and capitalise on opportunities.
- Bring fresh thinking to the table, applying your expertise to support new initiatives and continuously improve processes.
- Industry Knowledge: A strong grasp of financial markets, social security, tax, superannuation rules, and a solid understanding of target market licensees and advisers.
- Relationship Management: Experience in servicing existing clients while identifying and converting new business opportunities.
- Technical Proficiency: You're tech-savvy, comfortable with Excel, Salesforce, or similar CRMs.
- Qualifications: RG146 compliant in areas including Managed Investments, Superannuation, Life Insurance, Securities, and Derivatives.
