Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor

Our organization is seeking an experienced and dedicated maintenance supervisor to join our team. This role involves managing and performing both reactive and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep of buildings, plant, equipment, furniture, fittings, grounds, and carparks.

The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring all maintenance activities comply with relevant regulations. They will work closely with the site manager and area manager to deliver maintenance services with minimal impact on residents and staff.

  • Manage and perform both reactive and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep of buildings, plant, equipment, furniture, fittings, grounds, and carparks.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with Aged Care Quality Standards and other relevant regulations.
  • Work closely with the Site Manager and Area Manager to deliver maintenance services with minimal impact on residents and staff.

The successful candidate will have experience in a maintenance supervisory role and strong knowledge of building maintenance, plant, and equipment. They will also possess excellent organizational and time management skills, patience, empathy, and great communication skills. The ideal candidate will commit to upholding our organization's values and standards and demonstrate sound computer literacy in Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and perform both reactive and preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards and other regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Site Manager and Area Manager to deliver maintenance services.
  • Maintain accurate records of asset acquisitions and disposals.
  • Manage site vehicles, plant, and machinery.
  • Liaise with contractors, tradespersons, suppliers, and volunteers.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience in a maintenance supervisory role.
  • Trade qualifications (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of building maintenance, plant, and equipment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and great communication skills.
  • Commitment to upholding our organization's values and standards.
  • Sound computer literacy in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
