Internal Audit Manager for Risk and Compliance

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Internal Auditor to join our team in Melbourne. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of conducting comprehensive audits, identifying key risks, and providing actionable recommendations.
The Senior Internal Auditor will be responsible for leading, coordinating, and having a hands-on approach to the completion of audits, with an overall objective of providing reasonable assurance on the effectiveness of the Company's risk management and internal controls.
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct internal audit procedures end to end
- Ensure methodical documentation of works
- Deliver high-quality, concise, and informative audit reports
- Review, monitor, and confirm action plans submitted by management are adequately addressed
- Partner and collaborate with relevant business units to improve operational efficiencies and processes where appropriate
- Assist in enhancing Internal Audit processes and compliance to the Global Internal Audit standards
- Provide assistance with investigations, special audits, and provide subject-matter expertise as needed
- Build and maintain effective working relationships to influence key stakeholders
- Assist in promoting a positive risk-aware culture through leadership, training, constructive challenge, and acting as an ambassador for good governance and control
About You:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Proven related work experience
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong time management, project management, and prioritisation abilities
- Detail-oriented analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment
- Driven, with a passion for identifying risks and making impactful changes
- Understanding of Internal Audit best practices and COSO internal control framework
Salary Range:
$80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Location:
Melbourne, Victoria.
