About this role

The Woorabinda Multi-Purpose Health Service seeks a Clinical Nurse to join their Community Health Team. This is a unique opportunity for a Registered Nurse to make a positive impact on the health and well-being of the local community.

This full-time role reports to the Nurse Unit Manager Community Health and plays an essential part in providing clinical support for Primary Health Care workers and others in the delivery of Primary Health Care Program activities.

  • This position requires current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current annual practising certificate.
  • Eligibility for appointment as an Authorised Mental Health Practitioner under the Mental Health Act 2016 would be highly desirable.
About your responsibilities

You will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary Community Health Team to develop, implement, and evaluate health program activities. Temporary deployment may occur to fill critical staffing shortages within the community health team.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing clinical support for Primary Health Care workers and others in the delivery of Primary Health Care Program activities.
  • Collaborating with the community, other agencies, and the wider health service team to improve community health and well-being.
