CSSD Technician Role

About the Position

Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton has available positions for Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD) Technicians on a permanent full-time, part-time or casual basis. These roles offer a rewarding career opportunity to assist in delivering clinical care under the direction and supervision of the Registered and Enrolled Nurses when necessary.

As a CSSD Technician, you will be an integral member of the perioperative team, working collaboratively with nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of sterile supplies and equipment
  • Participate in the cleaning and decontamination process of surgical instruments
  • Support the perioperative team in maintaining a safe and efficient operating environment

Requirements:

  • Certification as a CSSD Technician or completion of relevant training program
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
