The Project Engineer - Stringing plays a crucial role in the planning, coordination, and execution of stringing activities within transmission line construction projects. This highly skilled professional is responsible for managing detailed project plans, schedules, and methodologies to ensure alignment with overall construction programs.

  • Develop and implement stringing project plans, schedules, and methodologies that align with overall construction goals and objectives.
  • Oversee and coordinate stringing operations to guarantee safe and efficient installation of conductors, earth wires, and OPGW.
  • Monitor progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation measures to achieve milestones while ensuring compliance with safety protocols, environmental requirements, and quality standards.
  • Effectively manage resources and track costs to prepare progress claims where necessary.
  • Resolve technical issues related to stringing equipment, methods, and alignment tolerances to maintain project efficiency.
  • Prepare project documentation, including method statements, inspection test plans, risk assessments, and daily/weekly progress reports, to facilitate informed decision-making.

Key skills and competencies required for this position include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proven experience in transmission line construction with a strong focus on stringing operations.
  • Familiarity with Australian Standards, utility guidelines, and relevant industry codes.
  • Strong project management, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.
