Job Overview

The Program Manager role is responsible for planning, managing and coordinating strategic and operational initiatives across multiple portfolios.

This involves identifying and developing large programmatic opportunities to drive innovation, support workforce development and address key sectors.

  • Evaluate and develop proposals and business cases with government, academic and industry partners, both domestically and internationally.

About the Role:

  1. Develop a thorough understanding of defence, national security and space domains, including Australia's growth of sovereign capabilities and potential funding models.
  2. Identify and leverage opportunities to secure funding for relevant projects and initiatives.
  3. Promote effective collaboration models and local ecosystems to achieve superior outcomes in defence, national security and space.
  4. Plan, direct and coordinate activities to manage and implement programs from concept through to delivery.
  5. Engage and influence senior managers and stakeholders to ensure project success and alignment with strategic plans and business goals.
  6. Maintain appropriate risk management and escalate risks as necessary.
  7. Act as a Security Officer under the Defence Industry Security Program in line with Defence expectations and guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Australian Citizenship is typically required. Consideration may be given to citizens of New Zealand, United States, Canada or United Kingdom with a recognised security clearance.
