Demonstrated experience in dispute management is highly regarded, and the ability to travel to site on an ad hoc basis is essential.

About the Role:

  • Manage contracts throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with company risk positions
  • Provide handover to project teams of contract documents
  • Assist with review and negotiation of subcontractors and supplier agreements
  • Provide rights and obligations summary to project teams
  • Set up processes and templates for site teams' strict compliance with contract notices
  • Review letters and contractual correspondence
  • Ensure systems are in place for management of subcontractors
  • Manage key project documentation/contracts
  • Provide assistance to project teams for management of disputes
  • Develop strategies for successful resolution of disputes
  • Analyse and report on success of disputes to inform decisions by senior management
  • Ensure compliance with Delegation of Authority Matrix and company commercial framework
  • Develop relationships with key commercial stakeholders
  • Develop plans to address project lessons learnt around Commercial function and feedback to pre-contracts team
  • Close out audit actions within specified timeframes

About You:

  • At least 7+ years' experience in a similar role within Australian Civil and Infrastructure space
  • Strong background in Business Law, Construction Management or related field
  • Demonstrated experience in full project lifecycle, across multiple live contracts at any given time – A must
  • Demonstrated experience in dispute management – Highly regarded
  • Ability to travel to site on an ad hoc basis
  • Brings positive, solution-focused, results-oriented attitude
