A leading telecommunications organization is seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Customer Field Technician.

This position requires someone with expertise in cabling installation, customer premises equipment installation, and fault diagnosis and repair. The ideal candidate will have experience working in customer-facing roles and be able to demonstrate strong communication skills, honesty, and integrity.

The successful candidate will work on a variety of tasks, including:

  • Cabling installation (copper and fibre) including jointing, jumpering, and splicing
  • Customer premises installation of nbn Customer Premises Equipment (CPE)
  • Fault diagnosis and repair of nbn cabling networks and nbn CPE

The role operates between 7am and 7pm based on business needs, and a flexible working environment is encouraged.

Requirements

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively
  • Experience working in customer-facing roles or similar environments
  • Transferable skills from a communication cabling or electrical background

A large part of this role involves working in customers' premises, so we require strong interpersonal skills and the ability to demonstrate honesty and integrity while being self-managed and motivated.
