Job Overview:

We are seeking an NDIS Support Coordinator to join our team in delivering high-quality customer service and support coordination services to participants.

This role will support participants on the Mid Coast of NSW, including Port Stephens, Forster, Taree, Gloucester and surrounding areas. The successful applicant will be someone who is friendly, kind and positive, with a can-do attitude, highly organised, efficient and effective, and passionate about inclusion and capacity building, and the National Disability Insurance Scheme.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and possess a strong understanding of the NDIS and its principles.

The key responsibilities of this role include providing individualised support plans, coordinating access to mainstream services, and advocating for participants' rights and interests.

Additionally, the successful applicant will contribute to the development of programs and services that promote social inclusion and empowerment of people with disability.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in a field such as social work, psychology or disability studies;
  • Experience working with people with disability, particularly in a support coordination context;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Strong organisational and time management skills;
  • Proficiency in using technology, including databases and software applications;
  • Familiarity with the NDIS and its operations;
