Commercial Consultant Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced commercial practitioner to join our team as a Commercial Consultant. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in promoting and applying commercial best practice to deliver excellent commercial outcomes for clients.

Main Responsibilities
  • Identify and mitigate commercial and financial risks
  • Determine value-for-money outcomes and minimize through-life cost of ownership
  • Reduce tendering costs for both customers and suppliers
  • Minimize procurement and contract management, governance, and administration
  • Foster healthy relationships between customers and suppliers
  • Implement contemporary performance management
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A qualified commercial practitioner with relevant tertiary qualifications
  • At least 8 years of experience in commercial contracts development and management
  • Significant experience and knowledge in areas including complex procurement project coordination or management, procurement strategy and plan development, application of different procurement methodologies/models, commercial risk assessment, tender evaluation participation, and contract negotiation support
  • Personal traits such as collaboration ability, diverse colleague and client interaction, professional curiosity, self-starting capability, high-quality output delivery under broad direction, exemplary professional conduct, effective business relationship building, professional courage and integrity, excellent verbal and written communication skills, Microsoft Office proficiency, Australian Citizenship, and eligibility for a Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) Security Clearance
