About This Role

This is a challenging opportunity to work as a junior tester and quality assurance specialist. You will be part of an IT program responsible for delivering complex digital transformation projects across government.

As a junior tester, your role will involve working with technical teams, business stakeholders, and other government partners to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyse requirements and conduct static testing to identify potential issues in the software code.
  • Design, execute, and manage test cases to ensure the software meets the required standards.
  • Create test data and ensure traceability throughout the testing process.
  • Participate in test case reviews and defect triage to identify and resolve issues quickly.
  • Identify regression tests and testing risks to ensure continuous improvement in the testing process.
  • Provide detailed progress reports to project stakeholders to keep them informed.
Requirements:
  • Experience in system integration testing, including web applications, mobile apps, and portals.
  • Proficiency with manual testing tools, such as Jira.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate requirements into test cases.
  • Intermediate SQL Server knowledge.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and isolate test failures.
Desirable Skills:
  • Exposure to automated testing, especially with SmartBear TestComplete/TestExecute.
  • Testing experience on large-scale or multi-year projects.
  • Familiarity with data testing, ETL processes, and large datasets.
  • Understanding of data mapping, reconciliation, and validation.
