Job Opportunity

We are seeking a professional to join our team as a Welding Quality Assurance Specialist.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections and testing of welding activities to ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications
  • Develop and implement quality control plans and procedures to identify and address welding defects
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and welders to resolve quality issues and improve welding processes
  • Maintain detailed records and documentation of all quality control activities
  • Provide training and guidance to welders to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Stay up to date with the latest welding regulations, codes, and best practices

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar QA/QC welding role, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry
  • Thorough understanding of welding procedures, codes, and quality standards (e.g. API, ASME, AWS)
  • Proficiency in using various welding inspection and testing equipment, such as dye penetrant, ultrasonic, and radiographic testing
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve welding quality issues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Welding Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related field
