Credit Management Professional

This position involves overseeing and directing credit management activities, ensuring effective financial planning and reporting.

The successful candidate will manage Accounts Receivable (AR) functions and Credit Control operations for enterprise/corporate clients.

  • Debt Recovery:
    • Diligently follow up on overdue accounts and prepare reports for submission to relevant stakeholders.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure timely payment of outstanding debts.
    • Implement debt collection strategies to minimize overdue accounts and resolve payment disputes efficiently.
    • Reconcile accounts to ensure accurate payments and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
    • Investigate and resolve customer disputes and queries regarding payments, ensuring minimal impact on cash flow.
  • Collaboration with Internal Teams:
    • Ensure adherence to financial regulations and internal control procedures.
    • Address customer inquiries promptly to facilitate timely payments and collaborate with the Sales team to resolve any billing or contractual issues.
    • Generate regular reports on accounts receivable aging, collections, and credit performance.
    • Foster and sustain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience with minimum of 1-2 years in a credit control or collections role
  • Fresh graduates with a strong interest to learn will also be considered
  • Strong knowledge of credit control processes and relevant legal procedures
  • Experience in preparing manual Statement of Accounts (SOA) is required for this role
  • Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills in English
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP/Pivot Table, etc) and possess basic accounting knowledge
  • Meticulous and strong eye for detail
  • Experience with SAP is highly advantageous
