In this role, you will work on various projects to provide financial expertise to complex litigation and arbitration matters. Your responsibilities will include quantifying financial losses suffered by businesses, investigating financial dealings, and valuing shares, businesses, financial instruments, and intangible assets.
- Quantify loss and damage in commercial disputes, including reviewing business records, performing financial analysis, and creating financial models.
- Execute a wide range of valuation engagements, including company and industry analysis, reviewing accounting data, and performing financial, ratio, and comparable company analysis.
- Undertake investigations, including fraud, misconduct, and regulatory compliance engagements, by analyzing a range of financial and non-financial sources, and documenting the processes undertaken and findings made.
- Work with large data sets, including utilizing data analytical tools.
- Support day-to-day engagement execution, including interaction with clients, financiers, auditors, tax advisors, and legal advisors.
- Assist with the preparation of reports and presentations.
- Contribute to company initiatives and team development activities.
- Assigned buddy and coach to ensure a smooth transition to working life.
- On-the-job training and coaching.
- Support in undertaking an appropriate accounting qualification such as CA/CFA.
- Learn from senior management in the team and work on large multi-jurisdictional engagements around the world.
- Exposure to our wide-ranging client base, including lawyers, corporates, government regulators, and banks.
- Strong knowledge of the legal process, especially regarding litigation, fraud, and compliance issues.

- Bachelor/Master's degree in Accounting or Finance (other degrees are also considered).
- Soft skills, such as empathy and respect: the ability to understand and recognize clients' needs and work well with our people.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle complex financial information.
- Ability to work in a team and autonomously.
- This role will require travel to client and FTI offices.
- Unrestricted working rights in Australia.
