Medical Support Specialist

This role involves working in a dynamic environment to provide medical support services. The ideal candidate will have experience in laboratory procedures, patient care, and diagnostic testing.

The Medical Support Specialist will work closely with physicians and healthcare professionals to assist in diagnosing and monitoring medical conditions. Key responsibilities include providing first aid, emergency medical services, health examinations, and nursing services to employees.

The role also involves coordinating with injury management, workers' compensation, and external providers, as well as educating employees on health and illness prevention. Additionally, the Medical Support Specialist will prepare and maintain accident reports, health histories, and injury records.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A relevant certification or license is required, along with current CPR certification.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide first aid, emergency medical services, health examinations, and nursing services to employees.
  • Coordinate with injury management, workers' compensation, and external providers.
  • Educate employees on health and illness prevention.
  • Prepare and maintain accident reports, health histories, and injury records.
  • Maintain inventory of EMS equipment and first aid supplies.
  • Assist in drug and alcohol testing at the worksite.
  • Oversee health-related issues such as water quality, food preparation, and living area safety.
  • Follow established procedures in performing duties.
  • Provide healthcare support at designated locations.
  • Use judgment within defined procedures and regulations for treatment methods.
  • Apply techniques used in medical support of QHSE standards.
  • Deliver compassionate patient interactions and support healthcare providers.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Work effectively in dynamic environments.
  • Handle sensitive information confidentially and professionally.
  • Complete organizational compliance training, including requirements for Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services or other regulatory bodies.

Required Qualifications:

  • A relevant certification or license is required.
  • Current CPR certification is required.
