Payroll Manager


Role Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing finance team as the Payroll Manager. As a seasoned payroll professional, you will partner closely with the Finance Director to provide insights and recommendations that drive best-practice payroll solutions.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Take complete ownership of the entire payroll function, ensuring all payroll-related payments are made on time, accurate, and in compliance with all award conditions and legal requirements.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives across payroll, including reviewing and assessing current payroll processes.
  • Provide sound payroll advice and support to key business leaders to effectively and efficiently manage business operations and performance.
  • Establish collaborative relationships with stakeholders to meet business needs and coach business strategy.
  • Act as the internal expert on all matters related to the interpretation and understanding of relevant awards and employment regulations.
  • Lead and deliver projects to embed award terms and conditions within payroll software.

Requirements:
  • At least 5-10 years of experience in executing payroll for medium-large volumes of employees.
  • Proven background in partnering with business leaders to manage business and payroll processes.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing best practices across payroll processes.
  • Intermediate Excel skills and experience in payroll systems.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to manage key stakeholders.
  • Pro-active and customer-focused mindset, with the ability to work under pressure and manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
