Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Client Engagement Officer to join our team at the ASO5 level. In this role, you will be responsible for engaging with clients to ensure effective service at all stages of the process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage and build rapport with a diverse range of clients and stakeholders.
  • Respond to client and sector enquiries on a daily basis.
  • Undertake assessments of applications for housing assistance in accordance with the principles of client and trauma informed service delivery.
  • Match resources to client's needs and circumstances.
  • Work with various IT systems.
  • Represent the department at various forums, advocate for complex clients and maintain collaborative internal and external relationships.
  • Apply legislation and policy within a human services environment.
  • Provide clients with timely information and responses.
  • Prepare and respond to material related to assessments and client applications.
  • Maintain sound record keeping practices.
  • Work within and support the work of a team.

Requirements

  • Experience working with vulnerable clients in the Community Sector desirable.
  • Ability to deliver high quality customer service and support to a diverse range of clients.
  • Demonstrated high level and effective communication (oral and written), interpersonal and problem-solving skills and the ability to develop effective relationships with clients and with support services.
  • Proven high quality organisational skills, including demonstrated capacity for attention to detail, experience in meeting tight deadlines and achieving results.
