About the Role

The Restaurant Operations Manager is a key leadership position responsible for driving business results and delivering exceptional guest experiences in our restaurants.

Main Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Safety
    • Provide safety leadership and manage day-to-day operations to ensure compliance with local legislation and company standards.
    • Lead the restaurant safety committee to promote a culture of safety awareness across the team.
    • Manage employee, guest, and contractor incidents and injuries, ensuring timely and effective return to work processes.
    • Ensure safety and security procedures are enforced consistently.
  • Culture and Guest Obsession
    • Create a guest-obsessed culture by interviewing, hiring, training, and supervising team members to deliver exceptional guest service on every occasion.
    • Evaluate employee performance, promotions, disciplinary discussions, and resolve employee grievances appropriately.
    • Ensure guests receive prompt service and quality food, executing the national marketing plan to deliver consistent experiences.
    • Respond to guest inquiries and feedback, providing corrective actions or escalation to ensure guest satisfaction.
    • Own national incentive programs at a restaurant level to improve the guest experience.
  • Business Planning and Performance
    • Utilize the business priority plan to continually improve restaurant performance.
    • Review business results regularly and communicate action plans to achieve improvement.
    • Lead community engagement initiatives to improve visibility and build brand loyalty.
  • Team Leadership and Development
    • Create a culture emphasizing growth, trust, and accountability.
    • Build a high-performing team by developing and maintaining a succession plan that engages and retains internal talent pipeline.
    • Partner with the training coach to execute the restaurant's training plan.
  • Financial Management
    • Accurately project and monitor sales to ensure rostering and ordering support guest obsession.
    • Plan and prepare work schedules, assigning staff to specific duties.
    • Manage controllables to achieve profit goals through portfolio leads.
    • Ensure regular stock takes, maintain stock records, and align within budget.
    • Verify sales data, follow up on point-of-sale irregularities, and monitor discount and vouchering.
    • Ensure accurate inventory ordering as per requirements for sales projections.

Requirements

AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma, or at least 3 years relevant experience. All successful applicants will be required to provide a National Police check.
