We are seeking a seasoned Risk Management Expert to join our Casualty Underwriting team. As a Senior Casualty Underwriter, you will be responsible for underwriting new and renewal accounts in line with Chubb guidelines, developing business from allocated panels of brokers, and establishing relationships with key producers and insureds.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Achieving your assigned premium budget through effective risk management and underwriting practices
  • Working within the Casualty department on an assigned broker panel, underwriting Primary, Umbrella, and Excess Liability portfolios in accordance with Chubb's underwriting strategy
  • Selecting new risks and underwriting renewals for assigned books of business or designated specialty classes or market segments
  • Organizing and presenting significant, complex accounts to Branch, Regional, or Global referral points for approval as applicable

As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with Claims, Risk Engineering, and Operations to deliver exceptional results. We anticipate that the successful candidate will possess 5 years' experience in Casualty or Package Underwriting and Development roles, with strong relationships across Independent and Global broking houses. A deep understanding of advanced pricing techniques, account servicing costs, and marketing plans will be essential, as well as excellent collaboration, communication, and negotiation skills.

The estimated salary range for this position is AU$120,000 - AU$180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
