Speech Pathologist Role in Disability Sector

We are seeking a Speech Pathologist to join our dynamic team at Ability Action Australia, where you will play a vital role in delivering outstanding supports to participants. As a passionate advocate for individuals with disabilities, you will be part of a purpose-driven team focused on empowering participants to achieve their goals.
Job DescriptionThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative and supportive environment, where you will have the chance to utilise your clinical skills and expertise to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. As a Speech Pathologist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality speech therapy interventions, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement tailored support plans that meet the unique needs of each participant.
In this role, you will have the flexibility to work across various settings, including schools, homes, communities, and clinics, allowing you to tailor your approach to best meet the needs of each participant. You will also have access to ongoing training and professional development opportunities, ensuring you stay up-to-date with the latest industry developments and best practices.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality speech therapy interventions to participants, developing and implementing tailored support plans that meet their unique needs
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement support plans that promote participant autonomy and independence
- Cultivate strong relationships with participants, families, and carers, ensuring effective communication and coordination of care
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to maintain currency and enhance clinical practice
- Current certified practising membership with Speech Pathology Australia
- Proactive attitude, motivated by improvement and the opportunity to test and learn from new ideas
- Genuine passion for working in the disability sector, with a commitment to promoting participant autonomy and independence
