About the Role

As a Senior Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist, you will be accountable to the Allied Health Service Manager for the planning, development, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of pediatric speech pathology services provided to inpatients and outpatients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide acute speech pathology assessment and management of complex clinical cases, utilizing instrumental investigation as needed.
  • Lead and coordinate the day-to-day operation of pediatric speech pathology services at Flinders Medical Centre.
  • Provide advice on professional service development, practice, and redesign in response to demand and client needs.
  • Offer clinical supervision, mentoring, and training to other team members.
  • Participate in teaching and training of speech language pathology students on clinical placement.
About You

We are seeking an experienced pediatric speech language pathologist with skills in the clinical management of pediatric feeding and dysphagia. The ideal candidate should have the ability to lead and work collaboratively within a team, manage workload effectively, and meet deadlines.

The successful applicant must possess a demonstrated ability to work independently with limited supervision and provide high-quality care consistent with the National Safety and Quality Health Care Service Standards.

Requirements:
  • Relevant degree or equivalent qualification giving eligibility for full membership of the Speech Pathology Association of Australia.
  • Proven experience delivering high-quality and safe care.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
