">As a Power Station Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations of our power station. This includes managing safety protocols, collaborating with stakeholders, conducting maintenance, and serving as a point of contact for clients.
Responsibilities- Collaborate Closely with planners and the Area Manager to coordinate maintenance activities, ensuring optimal scheduling and resource allocation to minimize downtime and maximise efficiency.
- Conduct testing of control systems.
- Perform fault finding, troubleshooting, and routine and breakdown maintenance as needed.
- Attend the power station after hours to address faults or breakdowns as required.
- Oversee the development of Safe Work Instructions (SWIs) and risk assessments, actively contributing to improving site procedures and protocols.
- Manage verification of competency (VOC) assessments and facilitate ongoing training initiatives to enhance team proficiency.
- Mentor staff to foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Manage staff rosters.
- Assist with end-of-month billing and reporting tasks to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- In the absence of the Area Manager, serve as their representative and cover for them during leave.
- A minimum of 8 years of post-trade experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Experience operating and/or repairing power generation equipment in heavy industry.
- FIFO (Fly-In, Fly-Out) experience.
- Ability to supervise and motivate others effectively.
- Recognised trade qualifications in either an electrical or mechanical discipline.
- Open class (non-restricted automatic) WA drivers license.
- Supervised gas work training.
- High-Voltage Switching Certificate (for electrical personnel only).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Adept at problem-solving and implementing practical solutions.
