Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Operations Manager to join our team in Moranbah. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our depot, ensuring optimal outcomes in safety, commercial, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a similar role within the Transport and Logistics industry, preferably with exposure in the resources sector. You will possess exceptional safety leadership qualities, knowledge of SSAN road transport, and relevant licenses such as MC and DG.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage branch operations and administration efficiently
  • Implement new business contracts and start-ups successfully
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities to grow the business profitably
  • Ascertain industry best practices to identify new programs
  • Track and analyse key performance measures and program updates
  • Manage logistics supply to support customers
  • Investigate potential risks and provide solutions
  • Serve as liaison to customer teams
  • Select, hire, train, and evaluate employees
  • Plan and implement strategic and operational logistics operations
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar capacity within the Transport and Logistics industry
  • Exceptional safety leadership qualities
  • Knowledge of SSAN road transport
  • MC License preferred
  • DG License preferred
  • QSEC Card obtainable
  • EDL License preferred
  • Outstanding commercial and financial acumen
  • Full profit and loss accountability
