Role Overview

We are seeking a senior leader to drive the development of our local economy and business strategy. This is a fixed-term role that will lead our economic evolution and business support initiatives.

This position reports into the Director Community Services and is part of the organisation's leadership team. You will work across all levels of the Council, building on strengths, identifying opportunities and exploring new ways of working to enhance our business concierge and economic development programs.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing economic development strategies
  • Identifying areas for growth and improvement
  • Enhancing marketing efforts for local businesses and shopping precincts
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders

You will contribute to the implementation of the Boroondara Community Plan and the development of the Economic Development Action Plan. Your role will also involve driving strategic transformation by aligning staff, stakeholders, and partners with new economic priorities and service models.
