Overview

As a key member of the leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our regional automation and robotics strategy. You will drive technical excellence, lay the foundations for a future Proof of Concept (PoC) Centre in Melbourne, and work closely with cross-functional teams to align frameworks and share assets.

Location: Melbourne

Key Responsibilities
  1. PoC Development
    • Collaborate with engineering teams to strengthen delivery and prepare the ground for a future Melbourne PoC Centre by driving partnerships with universities, industry, and government, and securing funding and grants.
    • Lead solution design and proof-of-concept delivery, integrating automation and robotics technologies to support customers' ambitions.
  2. Business Model Transformation & Partnerships
    • Support the Senior State Manager to achieve regional sales and profit targets by co-developing customer solutions and presenting at executive-level engagements.
    • Drive sustainable business models leveraging PoC capabilities and expand engineering and service businesses.
  3. Regional Leadership & Delivery (VIC/SA/TAS)
    • Mentor and guide regional engineers, ensuring structured processes and high-quality delivery, and adhere to safety and business best practices.
Requirements
  1. Engineering Degree with at least 8+ years' experience in automation, robotics, or industrial solutions, including project management.
  2. Leadership: Proven ability to inspire and guide cross-functional teams, take ownership of results, and drive change with resilience.
  3. Business Acumen: Skilled in developing compelling proposals, securing funding or grants, and shaping innovative business models.
