Delivering Exceptional Care in Aged Services
The role of a Support Worker is pivotal in providing personal, social and domestic care to older Australians. This rewarding position allows you to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients.
You will be part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering exceptional support services. As a Support Worker, your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing companionship through social activities such as outings to shops, banks, cafes or walks.
- Assisting with transportation to appointments or respite periods.
- Preparing meals and snacks that cater to individual tastes.
- Offering respite care by assisting with exercising, dressing, toileting, and supervising medication administration.
- Performing domestic tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, emptying garbage, washing dishes, laundry and gardening.
- Providing personal care including showering and assisting with other grooming needs.
- Administering medication and monitoring client health.
This position requires a Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent) and relevant experience in aged care, disability or community nursing. A current driver's license and access to a car with comprehensive insurance are also necessary.
