About the Role

This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary package, including a base salary range of $72,000 - $78,000 per annum, plus superannuation benefits.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems. They will also have excellent diagnostic skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex problems and perform tasks precisely.

A high school diploma or equivalent qualification is required, with vocational or technical training in a relevant field desirable. Certification from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) or other recognized organization is also preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and identify potential issues
  • Perform oil changes, tune-ups, and other routine maintenance tasks
  • Diagnose and repair problems with engines, brakes, suspensions, and other systems
  • Replace damaged or worn-out parts, such as tires, batteries, and belts
  • Test and fine-tune repaired vehicles to ensure proper performance
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed
