As a seasoned transport safety expert, you will contribute to policy and initiatives that drive improvements in NSW transport networks.

  • You will work independently as part of the senior leadership team to provide strategic legal advice to key stakeholders.
  • Your ability to navigate complex tasks and projects will see you playing a pivotal role in enhancing transport safety across various areas, including regulatory compliance, contract management, and risk mitigation.
  • You will utilize your expertise in corporate governance, commercial law, contracts, liability, regulatory, administrative, privacy, employment, and criminal law to inform policy decisions and guide organisational best practices.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality legal advice on transport safety matters, ensuring timely and accurate guidance for stakeholders.
  • Contribute to capability development across the organisation, driving awareness of regulatory obligations and mitigating legal risks.
  • Navigate complex tasks and projects with ease, leveraging your project management skills to deliver results under tight deadlines.

Your Ideal Background:

  • A proven track record in transport safety or a related field, with experience in government agencies or regulatory bodies.
  • Expertise in corporate governance, commercial law, contracts, liability, regulatory, administrative, privacy, employment, and criminal law.
  • A proactive approach to new challenges and a variety of work, with strong communication skills and the capacity to quickly absorb information.
