Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating the technical and administrative aspects of construction project delivery. This includes aligning engineering deliverables with design intent, program timelines, and project objectives.

A typical day for this position may include managing daily engineering functions on site, supporting technical coordination, and providing input into planning and procurement. The successful candidate will also oversee project documentation, assist with subcontractor engagement, and drive construction quality through inspections and reporting.

As part of the project engineering function, the ideal candidate will work closely with engineers, other consultants and subcontractors to resolve design issues, manage technical queries, and ensure construction activities are delivered as specified.

This role requires strong communication and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to think critically and solve problems effectively. The successful candidate will be a team player who is committed to delivering high-quality results and contributing to the success of the business.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in commercial construction engineering working on high value projects
  • Solid understanding of construction drawings, sequencing, buildability, and quality assurance processes
  • Ability to manage multiple work fronts and interface with consultants, site teams, and suppliers
  • Understanding of procurement processes, cost control and contract administration
