Program Coordinator - CALD

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated professional to support the wellbeing and safety of young people in our care. As a Program Coordinator for Culturally And Linguistically Diverse (CALD) Programs, you will play a critical role in leading a team of CALD Liaison Officers and overseeing the day-to-day running of the CALD programs and activities.

This is an ongoing, full-time opportunity working across two Youth Justice Precincts. You will be based at Parkville with regular travel to Malmsbury, and participate in a weekly rotating standby/on-call roster.

You will have experience in program development, implementation and operation for young people in a custodial environment, as well as experience working with existing and emerging culturally, linguistically and faith diverse communities.

A tertiary qualification in human services or related discipline is desirable, along with a full and current driver's licence. You will also be required to obtain a Working with Children Check (WWCC) to be maintained by the employee for the period of employment.

  • Lead a team of CALD Liaison Officers and oversee the day-to-day running of the CALD programs and activities.
  • Manage staff across both precincts.
  • Participate in a weekly rotating standby/on-call roster.

  2. Team Management: Manage a team of CALD Liaison Officers, providing guidance and support to ensure successful delivery of CALD programs and activities.
  3. Precinct Operations: Oversee the day-to-day running of CALD programs and activities across both precincts.
