Patient Information Officer Role

At Peter Mac, we are committed to delivering exceptional cancer care, research, and education. We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Patient Information Officer to join our Health Information Services team.

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm, with 80 hours per fortnight and 1 ADO per month. The job classification is HS1, Level 1, as per the Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Workers (Victorian Public Sector) Enterprise Agreement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the maintenance and provision of patient records for patient care, research, and education.
  • Utilize the Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR), iPM (Patient Administration System), and other electronic information systems used to store patient data.
  • Manage and audit data in electronic systems, including auditing unauthorised access to EMR.
  • Prep and scan documents into electronic systems, and perform other data management and quality activities as required.
Requirements
  • Investigative, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Highly organised, methodical worker with ability to prioritise work.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to work as a team member or autonomously as required.
