About the Role

Peter Mac is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Patient Navigator to join our Clinical Haematology team. As a Patient Navigator, you will play a critical role in providing administrative support to tumour stream clinicians and assisting patients with navigating through the cancer care system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a single point of contact for patients and their carers, and act as a liaison between patients and their clinical team.
  • Manage patient records, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Coordinate patient appointments, resolving queries and importing results to support patient flow.
  • Work closely with the Haematology specialist nurses, stream lead and senior medical staff to provide administrative support for the weekly Multi-Disciplinary Meetings (MDMs).
  • Collaborate with the Registrations and Referrals team to ensure urgent patients are identified and prioritised quickly for registration and first appointments.
Requirements
  • Relevant Certificate/Diploma or several years' work experience in an administration setting.
  • Strong customer service skills, able to communicate effectively and respectfully with patients and staff.
  • Demonstrated skills in the use of IT systems, preferably in a health care setting.
  • Competent in use of the Microsoft Office Suite.
