Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a Welder/Spray Painter. As a key member of our workshop, you will be responsible for welding and spray painting a range of materials, including mild steel, aluminium, and other metals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Metal Fabrication & Finishing
    • Perform MIG/TIG welding of various materials
    • Cutting, grinding, and metal preparation for high-quality finishes
    • Reading and interpreting technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication
  • Spray Painting Services
    • Prepare surfaces by sanding, masking, and priming for optimal paint adhesion
    • Apply paints for high-quality joinery and furniture finishes
    • Regularly maintain spray equipment and maintain a clean, safe workspace
  • Additional Opportunities
    • Assist with fabrication, installations, or graphics production as needed
    • Bring additional specialist skills to broaden our in-house capability
    • Participate in optional onsite work and interstate travel
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3+ years proven experience in welding (MIG/TIG essential)
  • Minimum 2+ years experience in spray painting of joinery, furniture, or similar high-quality finishes
  • Trade qualification in welding/metal fabrication or similar (preferred)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Physically fit, WHS-aware, and proactive
  • Forklift licence (desired but not essential)
  • Flexibility for diverse tasks and optional travel
  • Full Australian working rights or valid work visa
  • Valid Australian driver's licence
  • Current White Card (Construction Induction Training) or willingness to obtain
