Job Title: Mentor

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Mentor to join our team at Indigenous Workstars. As a Mentor, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional support to our Employment Programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build Strong Relationships: Proven ability to establish and maintain strong, supportive relationships with customers through coaching, mentoring, and effective case management.
  • Performance Monitoring: Skilled in monitoring and enhancing performance to meet and exceed organizational and contractual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), with a proactive approach to addressing improvement areas.
  • Case Management: Demonstrated success in case management and mentoring, including identifying training needs and providing targeted guidance.
  • Employment Outcomes: Track record of generating leads and securing employment outcomes aligned with customer skills and abilities.
  • Customized Support: Expertise in analyzing job requirements and delivering customized support to meet individual customer needs.
  • Group Facilitation: Proficient in leading small groups with a strong track record of successful facilitation.
  • Communication: Ability to work closely with leaders and colleagues, offering clear communication, feedback, and guidance.
  • Administrative Tasks: Accurate and timely completion of administrative tasks, including evidence gathering, claim submissions, and schedule management.
  • Technology: Advanced skills in computer systems and technology.
  • Cultural Competence: Natural ability to build effective relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.

Requirements:

  • C Class Driver's License: Current C Class Driver's License
  • Working with Children Blue Card: Valid Working with Children Blue Card (or the ability to obtain one)
  • Cultural Sensitivity: Demonstrated ability to work effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, honoring traditional cultures and values.
  • Effective Communicator: Proven ability to engage and collaborate with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
