Electrical Maintenance Apprenticeship

Develop a strong foundation in electrical maintenance trade by joining our 4-year apprenticeship program. You will work closely with our experienced maintenance team to learn industry best practices and gain hands-on experience in a busy manufacturing environment.

Job Description:

As an Apprentice Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for assisting the maintenance team in performing routine electrical equipment inspections, troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems, and maintaining records of work performed.

  • Conduct safety inspections and implement measures to ensure a safe working environment
  • Learn and apply industry best practices for preventative maintenance and breakdown repair of electrical equipment and systems
  • Participate in problem-solving and fault-finding exercises
  • Use Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to manage work orders and track data
  • Operate hand tools and specialized equipment
  • Assist in process automation and instrumentation projects
Required Skills and Qualifications:

We are looking for individuals who have successfully completed or are due to complete school-based electrotechnology units (e.g., Cert II - Electrotechnology), possess a genuine interest in learning the electrical trade, and demonstrate basic knowledge of electrical industry terminology.

  • Possess excellent problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach
  • Demonstrated mathematical and English attributes
  • Intermediate IT skills in Windows-based operating systems
  • Australian citizenship or formal permanent residency
  • Ability to commence full-time employment in December 2025/January 2026 (negotiable)
