Environment and Planning Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team in Sydney. As an Environment and Planning Specialist, you will play a key role in providing expert advice on environmental risk management and compliance.

  • You will be responsible for assisting with pollution and licensing issues, including enforcement and litigation.
  • You will work on renewable energy projects, including wind and solar farms.
  • You will manage waste licensing, levies, and compliance issues.
  • You will provide strategic planning and development advice.
  • You will conduct environmental impact assessments.
  • You will advise on heritage law and land and environment court litigation.
  • You will assist with climate change law and policy.
  • You will work on sustainability projects, including environmental upgrade agreements.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in a highly regarded environment & planning practice. This will be a mixed advisory, transactional, and litigation role. On offer is a competitive salary, an excellent culture, and real career prospects.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in a highly regarded environment & planning practice.
  • Degree in Environmental Law, Planning, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental risk management and compliance.
  • Experience in pollution and licensing issues, including enforcement and litigation.
  • Ability to work on renewable energy projects, including wind and solar farms.
  • Skills in waste licensing, levies, and compliance issues.
  • Ability to provide strategic planning and development advice.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
