About the Role

An opportunity is available for a senior lawyer to assist in supporting, initially, one of our Partners in her practice. There may then be an opportunity for work across both Partners in our team.

This practice group advises high profile corporate developer and council clients, as well as high net worths. You will be an integral part of the team. In addition to Land and Environment Court litigation matters, you will also be involved in development projects and will learn to sharpen your front end planning law skills in relation to the rezoning of land, the negotiation of VPAs, and the resolution of complex and, often, novel environmental and planning issues.

About You

This is an opportunity for a 6 to 9 year PQE lawyer to join a prominent Planning, Environment and Government practice. Initially, the role will be working directly with one of our Partners supporting her while a senior lawyer is on maternity leave. However, there may be an opportunity for the role to become permanent and assist both Partners.

Your clear and concise communication style and professionalism, combined with an ambitious, resourceful nature will see you thrive as a member of our Dentons team.

You will have:

• A minimum of 6 years' PQE in NSW planning and environment law
• Strong analytical skills
• Clear and concise writing and oral communication
• Solid client and matter management skills
• A high degree of technical ability
• A strong grasp of general commercial legal principles
• Superior time management skills and the ability to manage conflicting priorities
• Strong team orientation and a collaborative approach
