The Role of a Project Director

Our organization is seeking an experienced and skilled Project Director to lead the management of multiple water-related infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in project management, including experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously, and a proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including business cases, scopes, plans, estimates, and specifications.
  • Maintain up-to-date schedules and registers for risk, cost, and scope.
  • Ensure stakeholder communication and engagement throughout the project life cycle.
  • Identify corporate and project risks within the project lifecycle and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Lead the development and delivery of programs to achieve project outcomes.
  • Collaborate with contractors, suppliers, and the Contract and Procurement team on project-related contractual matters.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will possess a post-secondary qualification in project management, engineering, or a related discipline, and have demonstrated experience in project management, quality, safety, and environmental risk management practices.

You will also be proficient in SAP and MS Office, including MS Project, and have strong report writing and presentation skills, including the ability to write business cases.

In addition, you will have knowledge of water supply operation and maintenance practices, procedures, techniques, and equipment, and be able to travel as required to achieve business objectives.
