Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Arena Maintenance Director to lead our planned maintenance programs and manage contractors in compliance-driven environments.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facilities management, asset management, or building services, with experience coordinating planned maintenance programs and managing service contracts.

You will be responsible for ensuring all planned maintenance activities comply with relevant legislation, codes, and safety regulations, as well as monitoring and auditing contractor works.

Requirements
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in facilities management, asset management, or building services, or lesser formal qualification with extensive industry experience (10+ years) in a similar role.
  • Strong experience coordinating planned maintenance programs and managing contractors in compliance-driven environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant Victorian building legislation, statutory and regulatory requirements, including obligations of owner and lessee, safety regulations, and compliance frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage service contracts, interpret contract terms, and resolve performance issues diplomatically.
  • Proficiency in enterprise systems for managing work orders, budgets, and compliance documentation.
  • Proven leadership capability, with experience developing team members and managing operational workflows.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence outcomes and collaborate across teams.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate the full lifecycle of planned maintenance programs delivered via external contractors.
  • Supervise and support Planned Maintenance Officers, providing technical guidance and fostering their development.
  • Act as the key liaison for all planned maintenance contractors, managing relationships and ensuring statutory and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Ensure all planned maintenance activities comply with relevant legislation, codes, and safety regulations.
  • Monitor and audit contractor works, maintaining accurate records and system entries to meet compliance requirements.
