**About the role**

The Roads Program Lead is a newly established role within our City Operations directorate, you will play a key role in shaping the future of Wyndham’s road infrastructure. This leadership position is responsible for the planning, coordination, and delivery of the Connecting Wyndham Roads Program of Works. Reporting to the Manager of Roads and Maintenance, you will oversee a range of road infrastructure projects, including upgrades and growth initiatives, ensuring they are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with Council’s strategic objectives and project management methodology.

In this role, you will coordinate the planning, execution, and completion of road infrastructure projects while implementing robust program oversight measures. This includes establishing an operating rhythm that aligns project teams, optimizes resource allocation, manages risks effectively, and facilitates accurate reporting. A key aspect of your work will be identifying and managing relationships with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with program objectives and providing a clear escalation pathway for addressing concerns. You will explore commercial opportunities to enhance program outcomes, manage budgets, and develop risk mitigation strategies to ensure the successful delivery of projects.

Additionally, you will lead the integration of PMO change initiatives into the roads program, embedding improvements to enhance project processes and infrastructure efficiency. By fostering a culture of continuous improvement, you will evaluate projects holistically, considering alternative delivery models and driving innovative solutions. A key focus will be risk management, ensuring all program activities adhere to Wyndham’s Risk Management Policy and creating an environment where managing risk is everyone’s responsibility.

This role is dynamic and requires close collaboration with technical teams, project managers, and external stakeholders. **What your day will look like**
- Overseeing the full lifecycle of road infrastructure projects to meet timelines and budgets.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to align technical teams, contractors, and community objectives with program goals.
- Tracking program performance and preparing accurate progress reports.
- Integrating continuous improvement initiatives to optimise program performance.
- Leading stakeholder engagement and serving as the primary escalation point for concerns or program challenges.
- Monitoring program KPIs, including safety, budget, and schedule performance.
- Championing a culture of risk management and safety across all project teams.

**What you will bring**
- A degree or diploma in Project Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline (essential).
- Expertise in delivering large, multi-stakeholder infrastructure programs from concept to completion.
- Proven ability to oversee budgets, schedules, and risk management strategies while ensuring compliance with Council regulations.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and foster collaboration.
- Focus on continuous improvement to optimise program delivery.
- Strong analytical, investigative, and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
