This permanent full-time opportunity is for a skilled Accountant to join our team at Hall & Prior Aged Care Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial assistance to the Directorate to ensure effective management of our finances, projects, and assets. This position is varied and predominantly focuses on budgeting, asset and project accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analysing financial information to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Liaising with staff regarding their budgets and providing guidance on financial management
  • Investigating variances and preparing Quarterly Budget Reviews
  • Preparing Annual Operational and Capital Budgets
  • Managing assets and projects, including maintenance of Council's assets & work orders
  • Completing financial grant acquittals and assisting with statutory returns

Requirements:

  • A degree in accounting, or substantial progress toward accounting qualifications, or equivalent relevant industry experience
  • Demonstrated experience in the preparation of operational and capital budgets and long-term financial plans
  • Experience in asset accounting, revenue modelling, and forecasting
  • Well-developed time management skills and a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • A Class C Driver Licence
