Role Overview
This role involves collaborating with the CEO, Executive Leadership Team, and other senior management to effectively communicate Sandfire's strategic vision and foster the creation of long-term value for shareholders. This position will serve as a primary contact for investors, analysts, and the wider investment community, coordinating key investor engagement initiatives and managing Sandfire's external investor-related communications and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive investor relations strategy, framework, and associated processes.
- Lead the creation of investor relations communication materials and public documents, including market announcements, results presentations, Annual Report (Operating and Financial Review), and coordinate Q&A and briefing content.
- Organize significant investor engagement activities, such as briefings, roadshows, and conferences.
- Analyze insights from the broker/analyst/investment community and prepare management reports highlighting key findings and trends.
- Maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders and develop a database for stakeholder engagement.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Corporate Affairs, Company Secretary, etc.) to ensure consistent and compliant investor relations communications.
- Work with executives and senior management to design and execute roadshows targeting strategically aligned (potential) investors, advisors, and brokers.
- Conduct ongoing research and evaluation of events and conferences, arranging attendance where beneficial.
- Collaborate with executive and senior management on strategic and operational updates, crafting targeted messages for external communication.
- Address investor inquiries in collaboration with relevant executives.
- Ensure compliance with applicable legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Perform other duties as required by operational and business needs.
Candidate Profile:
- Tertiary qualifications in finance, business, geology, mining, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of professional experience, including investor relations experience with a publicly listed company.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in the mining sector (preferred).
- Experience coordinating investor relations engagement activities and interacting with senior internal and external stakeholders.
- Thorough understanding of ASX and ASIC regulations.
- Proven ability to identify, establish, and maintain relationships with key investors and stakeholders.
- Experience in producing internal and external communication materials.
- High-quality preparation and delivery of presentations for Board and Executive levels.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in verbal/written communication.
