Job Description

The Sub-Contract Specialist will work closely with stakeholders to support complex supply chain requirements for various programs. Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining currency of existing subcontracts, negotiating and implementing complex subcontract variations;
  • Managing existing subcontracts and promoting collaboration among subcontractors to ensure on-time performance and compliance;
  • Developing practical and efficient solutions to complex procurement and subcontracts issues;
  • Identifying and developing appropriate sourcing strategies and approaches to market for goods and services;
  • Preparing, negotiating and executing contract documentation in accordance with delegations of authority;
  • Managing subcontractor invoicing compliance and reporting;
  • Participating in risk identification and mitigation planning;
  • Ensuring compliance with supply chain management corporate governance policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a combination of the following competencies:

  • Three to five years' experience in contracts management or procurement;
  • Relevant Bachelor's degree in law, business or commerce (desirable);
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills;
  • Good working knowledge of the responsibilities and tasks performed across contracting and procurement and their interdependencies with other departments and disciplines;
  • A willingness to work in a team environment.
