Credit Controller

About the Role:

G.James is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join our active Accounts team. As a key member of our Group Support Services team, you will be responsible for managing inbound & outbound calls to investigate, identify and establish relationships with clients with outstanding debts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage, negotiate, monitor, and process payments and payment arrangements
• Liaise with internal departments to resolve client discrepancies/disputes
• Assess client accounts and recommend remedial action as required
• Conduct credit checks and recommend actions based on outcomes
• Comply with client policies, company policies and procedures
• Weekly & monthly reporting

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years' demonstrated experience in a collections/debt recovery role
• Competent in Microsoft Office suites - Excel and Word
• Experience working with Oracle
• Demonstrated organisational skills and strong attention to detail
• Demonstrated skills in negotiation, objection handling and problem resolution
• Working knowledge of the National Customer Credit Protection Act 2009, Privacy Act, ACCC Debt Collection Guidelines and basic knowledge of Consumer Credit Code
